March 9, 2006More Reliable Video Uploads
We're hardly veterans at video at this point, but thanks to everyone and their patience, we're learning everyday about making the Buzznet Video service more reliable.
In order to avoid those 6+ hours of processing time that some of you have been accustomed to, we've added feature that makes the original video format available immediately following a successful upload. In the background, we'll continue to encode to a more portable format, but you're video will be viewable in the native embedded player. In addition to native player support, we've also added the option to download the original video, so those without embedded players can watch on their desktop with their player of choice. If you have any problems with the new features, specifically, if a native format should be supported by the quicktime or wmv players, and we're not handling it correctly, drop me a message, or leave a comment here.
