More Reliable Video UploadsWe're hardly veterans at video at this point, but thanks to everyone and their patience, we're learning everyday about making the Buzznet Video service more reliable.
In order to avoid those 6+ hours of processing time that some of you have been accustomed to, we've added feature that makes the original video format available immediately following a successful upload. In the background, we'll continue to encode to a more portable format, but you're video will be viewable in the native embedded player. In addition to native player support, we've also added the option to download the original video, so those without embedded players can watch on their desktop with their player of choice. If you have any problems with the new features, specifically, if a native format should be supported by the quicktime or wmv players, and we're not handling it correctly, drop me a message, or leave a comment here.

So we still have to convert the video to a macromedia file....
Now we can upload .wmv files with no problems.
*phew*
I had some trouble finding good .wmv to .flv converters. Most of them didnt suport WM9 files...
Right on fellas !!!
As Im writing to you I might as well ask is there any way to get a screenshot of your most current video to appear on the blog like we can with photos at the moment?
Thanks,
Noel
The audio player could use that download link to.. and remove the "auto play". Since I can't stream it on dialup it kinda sucks to have it auto play when the player is loaded. While I'm on the subject of audio, since I don't seen an audio blog... why does it alter my file bitrate? I uploaded an 16kbps 11Khz mp3 that can stream on even the crappiest dialup connection. I tried to play it and it wouldn't stream without lots of rebuffers. Looked and it was twice the size of the file I had uploaded. Buzznet converted it to 32kbps 22Khz mono.. which is a bastard setting that most encoders don't even support. AND it stripped all mp3 TAGS from the file. So if I put a Copyright notice in my audio uploads you guys strip it out. That ain't cool.
